The whole area has become very popular, in part thanks to the golf tournament at Valderrama, Sotogrande and the numerous European golf players that, for years, have been coming to the coast on a regular basis. Demand is so great that new courses are constantly being created along the coast and in some cases it is necessary to book tee times well in advance.

Golf is more popular amongst the tourists than it is for the Spanish. A recent study informs us that a staggering 80% of tourists have visited the coast to play Golf. The majority of Golf Courses have tournaments throughout the year and during the summer months many courses have offer special discounts when booking tee reservations. Due to the popularity of golf with tourists most clubs have English-speaking staff members.
